Model 1:Taurus-vs-Taurus Frontal crash
Taurus-vs-Taurus Frontal crashThis benchmark simulates a frontal crash between two 2001 Ford Taurus sedans, each traveling at 50km/hour, colliding into each other. This analysis simulates the performance of both Taurus vehicles through the first 60ms of the crash event. Each Taurus model includes more than 800,000 elements and is considered a large model. Each Taurus model is more advanced than the Neon models, incorporating advanced meshing techniques and a wider variety of materials. The Taurus-versus-Taurus benchmark more closely represents the current state of the art in crash simulation technology. This benchmark is computationally intense since it involves two vehicles, advanced meshing techniques and simulates a 60ms crash event.
